NOTE: Initially, we will start with a 12-month fixed-term contract through a third party until our client has established a Korean entity/office. During this period, we expect them to spend a significant amount of time in Singapore (50%) to familiarise themselves with our company culture and work processes, etc.

- The position may convert to a permanent role in Korea once we finalize the details of the move.
- Alternatively, the position may convert to a permanent role in Singapore if the establishment in Korea does not happen within the next 12 months.

Key tasks and responsibilities
- Drive the Technical and Maintenance support to the operating units in terms of marine systems such as
mooring system, loading and unloading facilities including hoses, cargo tanks etc. - Ensure the units are maintained with respect to Class / Statutory and other regulatory requirement
- Actively contribute with technical and advisory support to Operations Managers / Maintenance
Managers and offshore units in terms of mooring system, loading and offloading equipments including
hoses, Cargo tank inspections and other marine / deck related issues - Actively contribute to incident investigation and provide technical support to Emergency Response
team as and when required - Review and provide the engineering solutions for Management of Change Request from units as per
procedure - Review the Shutdown / Breakdown Reports and verify / carry out Root Cause Analysis.
- Update Lesson Learned Register based on Management of Change Request, Shutdown / Breakdown
Reports review, Survey / Audit Reports etc. - Provide In-house Training for the Offshore Team as and when required
- Carry out competency evaluation for onboard Marine Superintendents as requested
- Provide budget requirements in terms of maintenance, long term plan and surveys
- Provide input for new project bids and variation orders, based on Lessoned Learned from operating
Facilities - Liaise with HSEQ for any HSEQ related issues and ISM/ISPS related matters
- Provide support for fee agreement with Class Societies
- Act as a mentor and resource for new employees and less experienced colleagues
- Continuously make suggestions for improvements in all spheres of influence
- Additional responsibilities as required
Authorities
- The holder of this position may perform the duties of Technical Authority when required and in accordance
with the Technical Authority Delegation Form. - The holder of this position has the necessary authorities to carry out the responsibilities stated above.
- This position’s financial authority will be specified in BW Offshore authorisation matrix.
Qualification requirements
Education
- Master Mariner license or equivalent qualification
- Long relevant experience may compensate lack of formal education
Experience
- Ideally 10 years of experience in sailing, with at least 5 years as Master. Chief Engineer experience
may be considered based on other experience such as Superintendent or Surveyor of member of
IACS class society - Experience of database and maintenance management systems.
- Ideally 2 years previous FPSO experience
- Managerial experience is an advantage
Knowledge
- Good understanding and knowledge of FPSO marine & process system
- Good knowledge of maintenance management systems (e.g. STAR)
- In depth knowledge of the relevant requirements of the classification societies and international
rules and regulations - Capability as internal auditor is an advantage
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
Other
- The position will require travel to offshore units and offices
- The position may require to support the facilities during or outside normal working hours
